The Laurel Awards is produced by the Northeast Florida Builders Association to recognize excellence in marketing, design and merchandising in the real estate industry.
Meet the Board - Phyllis Heisler
Phyllis is serving her second year on the Board of Directors. Her current responsibilities as chairperson of the Long Range Planning Committee include organizing a group of WBO members to collect and analyze data from recent member surveys, then work with the Board and other committee heads to develop a long range plan based on the current and future needs of the members. Phyllis Heisler, Owner of AMP Promotional Products, has more than 25 years experience in sales and marketing, including real estate and television advertising. In addition to her position with WBO, Phyllis is active in several other professional organizations, including The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce (2011 Small Business Leader of the Year, Beaches Division), Jacksonville Women's Business Center (Advisory Board), US Navy League Mayport Council, National Defense Transportation Association, and Promotional Products Association International.

Would you like to join Phyllis and previous scholarship winners in basically getting your membership free this year? Yes, that is right, free! That is what can happen when you apply and are awarded one of WBO's monthly Peacock Educational Scholarships.
This award, named for the late Joan Robbins and her business, Peacock Properties, provides one applicant up to $150 to attend an educational offering specific to their industry or growing their business. The award is a reimbursement for registration fees only and not for travel, lodging or other incidential costs. Each member can reapply every two years. Retreat "Goodie" Bags
The Goodie Bag Committee is ready to accept your promotional items for the 2011 WBO Retreat. We've got some great-looking bags to fill so bring it on! Here are the guidelines:

- Submit at least 75 goodies. Be creative; they don't all have to be professionally produced and they don't all have to match.
- Each business card, label, brochure, etc. MUST be accompanied by a goodie.
- We would prefer that you not include a brochure. If we end up with too many brochures or the brochure is too large or too bulky to fit into the goodie bag, it may end up being displaced..
- There are two collection locations: Camille Gregg firstname.lastname@example.org 716-0527 is in the BayMeadows area and Jill Gaddis email@example.com 992-9904 is near the beaches. You may contact either of us to arrange for a pick-up or drop-off.
- Goodies will be accepted through October 7.
