Karen Brune Mathis

Jacksonville Daily Record

Karen Brune Mathis has been the editor of the Jacksonville Daily Record since April 2017 and previously was managing editor since March 2010. She also contributes to WJCT 89.9's award-winning First Coast Connect program. Before joining the Daily Record, Karen served as executive director of Dreams Come True, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit that fulfills the dreams of children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Karen worked at The Florida Times-Union as a reporter, editor and columnist for the business and metro sections for nearly 30 years. She also was the producer, editor and anchor of a weekly business program for WJCT TV-7. Karen is a Missouri native and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Sharon Pruett

Gold'n Rule Jewelry, Inc.

Sharon Pruett found her passion in dealing with Gold and Silver in 1980. She started as a wholesale jeweler and had home parties. She went on to do charity sales for hospitals, AT&T, and VA commissaries throughout the southeast. She also loves to help customers make up their custom engagement rings. In 1992, she received her Gemological Institute of American Gemology degree. This enables her to give her customers an accurate appraisal. She has also taken a jewelry repair course by Ray Martin to learn how to set stones and size rings. Sharon will guarantee she will help you find whatever you need, and it will be perfect.
