President's Message

From Bonnie Vande Velde

Fall is upon us! Our fabulous Get Anchored Fall Retreat is behind us with SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES TO SHARE! Soon we will be turning our clocks back off of Daylight Savings Time and begin to focus on the Holiday Season. As we make plans with our families and close friends for holiday gatherings let's plan to serve our community as well. If you don’t already volunteer for an organization that provides support to women and children, homeless, jobless, infirmed or isolated, please consider finding and serving one of these categories. We are a group of members that are so incredibly blessed to be able to afford the nicer things in life that we may take for granted. Serving others with a pure heart and doing it simply to support another human being (or few) can instantly put our hearts and minds in the right place to prioritize our lives and behave in such a thankful manner for what we have and what we are blessed to be able to do!

I am looking for a few individuals with a passion for helping young women business owners, particularly single mother business owners. I would like to start a focus group to work on a way we can help this rapidly growing demographic group. I need a focus group to help come up with a plan that we can take to the board of WBO to vote on so we could move ahead with growing our reach to those who could truly benefit from the experience and success of the WBO members.  If you are interested, please email me to let me know of your interest:  President@wbonfl.org

We may choose to take on another demographic group in the future if this works well!

Respectfully in service to WBO,
